Former UNI Students now Leading their own Campus Ministries!

750 NAV Staff from across the U.S. gather every 4 years in Florida

This November Katie and I had the privilege of attending the Navigators' Collegiate Staff conference in Destin, Florida.  Every 4 years, all the collegiate staff in the United States gather to be refreshed in our walk with Jesus, as a group, and in our calling as an organization.  We walked away so encouraged, and not only because we got a few days in the Florida sunshine!

100 Campus leaders and directors gathered for a pre-summit trainers tune-up
As we sat in our pre-conference training with a group of other campus trainers and campus directors, I found myself flooded with gratitude for the time we got to serve and lead with the Navigators at UNI.  As I looked around the room, I saw a handful of former students in our ministry at Northern Iowa now as campus leaders, directing ministries at 4 different campuses in the Midwest besides UNI.

Left to Right (Paige and Scott Heemstra, John Anderson, Katie, Me, Grace Trent, and John Pagel) all former Navs at UNI

These are only the directors, not to mention the dozen or so other young staff who are being trained at UNI, Iowa State and beyond.  Think of the hundreds and thousands of students being impacted by these multiplying ministries, and the constant flow of students every year, who will never work for the Navigators, but are leaving our campuses, moving into neighborhoods, and workplaces all over the world with a passion to Know Christ, Make Him Known, and to Help others do the Same.

As we continue to pray for the Pacific Northwest, I am so eager to see how God will multiply our efforts at Oregon State, across the Pac NW, and to the ends of the world.   Thank you for praying along side us.

"Because you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give you peoples in exchange for you, and nations in exchange for your life."  -Isaiah 43:4
